Tracing Our History from the year of 1958 to the present moment.
1958 • MWTAI was established as Madrasah Ad-Diniyyah Al-Islamiah.
1959 • Fundraising started for the construction of a brand new school. • Students moved to the Kampong school. • Academic subjects added to the syllabus.
1966 The tradition of celebrating of Prophet Muhammad's Birthday (Maulidur Rasul) was first initiated.
1968 • The name "Madarasah Ad Diniyyah" was changed to the present one.
1970 • The first batch of Secondary 4 students were send overseas to further their education.
1975 • MWTAI was registered in the Ministry of Education Act.
1982 • The first batch of Secondary 4 students sat for their GCE "O" Levels.
1987 • Major fundraising efforts to purchase the land for the new building. Eventual purchased of the plot of land for the MWTAI current building.
1989-1993 • MWTAI moved temporarily to the old premises of Broadrick Secondary school for five years, while the new building was under construction.
Jan 1994 • The current building was completed. • Students moved to the new building.
Aug 1994 • MWTAI was officially opened by Islamic scholars Almarhum Syeikh Umar Abdullah Al-Khatib.
1998 • Pre-University level was introduced in the MWTAI's system.
1999 • The MWTAI Pre-Universities qualification was recognized by several Middle East Universities.
2000 • The first batch of Pre-University students sat for their GCE' A' levels examinations.
2001 • An additional fifth story was constructed.
2002 • MWTAI IT lab was established to promote IT learning among the students.
2003 • The Compulsory Education Act was implemented.
2005 • School facilities were upgraded to create a better environment for the students.
2008 • MWTAI's 50th anniversary. • The first batch of Primary school students sat for the PSLE for the national level.
