Curriculum changes for Primary Four to Six to help students focus on PSLE:

 

-Primary Six in the morning session

-Religious subjects taught in modules:

 

Primary Four and Five: Qur'an, Lughah and Nahu will be taught throughout the year.

Fiqeh, Hadis, Sirah and Tauhid will be taught in modular basis.

 

First semester (Jan-May): Students will learn Fiqeh and Hadis. The subjects will be tested during the mid year examination.

 

Second semester (July-Nov): Students will learn Sirah and Tauhid. The subjects will be tested during the final year examination.

 

Primary Six: First term (Jan-Mar): Students will learn Qur'an, Lughah, Nahu, Fiqeh and Hadis. Fiqeh and Sirah will be tested at the end of the first term.

 

Second term (Mar-May): Students will learn Qur'an, Lughah, Nahu, Hadis and Tauhid. All the subjects will be tested at the end of second semes-ter.

 

Third term (July-Sep): There will be no religious subjects taught during this term to help students focus on PSLE.

 

After PSLE (Oct-Nov): Students will focus on Qur'an, Lughah and Nahu only. The subjects will be tested during final year examination.

 

Apart from these, we have made other changes to fur-ther help the students to prepare for PSLE. They are:

 

-More periods for academic subjects.

-Monthly tests to check on students' progress.

-The weak students will only focus on PSLE this year and take their Ukhrawi exams next year.

-Assisted programmes done by teachers and external vendors:

-Study sessions after school hours .

-A* programme for Primary Six.

-Acropolis: English for Primary Four to Six.

-Zenitant: Mathematics and Science for Primary Six.

-Brain Gym for Primary Six.

-APEX: English, Mathematics and Science for Primary Six.

-MERCU: English, Mathematics and Science for Primary Four and Five.

-Camps and Monthly Qiyam (Night Prayers).

-Parent-teacher conference.

-We have also added more training sessions for our teachers to help them improve their teaching skills
