Society of English Appreciation (SEA)
The Language of Globalization
The Society of English Appreciation (SEA) attempts to instill the love
and appreciation of the English Language in the students of Madrasah Wak Tanjong Al-Islamiah. Being the only English -speaking Club in MWTAI, it has conducted numerous activities including the "Speak Good English Week".
SEA was founded in 2003 by then-MWTAI students Goh Md Redhuan and Siti
Farishah Md Feroz. The general paper teacher then, Mr Jeeshan Gulam Rasul,
was the teacher-in-charge.
Although SEA was not active during the years that followed, early 2008
saw major changes. Currently, with Mr Haidad as the teacher-in charge,
the society now includes a new wing , the SEA Art team, so as to
bring out the creativity of the students. It has also introduced a ‘House’
system for its members, so as to foster stronger bonds between them.
